Sensors which are fire detection devices: Their function is to measure the change in a parameter such as smoke, temperature or flame.

The processing bodies: They are responsible for analyzing each piece of information emanating from the sensors and specifying the different states including standby, fault and alarm.

Signaling control equipment or ECS, also called fire control panel or signaling or control panel.

THE INDEPENDENT SDI

THE SDI CONNECTED TO A FIRE SAFETY SYSTEM (SMSI)

This SDI does not only have the monitoring function. It can also transmit information to a CSMI or fire safety centralizer. It is an entity that is part of the SSI (Fire Safety System). It is present in security companies and has three functions, namely:

  • Evacuation
  • Compartmentalization
  • Smoke extraction
