What are IP protection ratings?

In industrial construction, a significant number of electrical installations require a high level of protection against penetration of the equipment chosen for the operation and integrity of the installed device.

The degree of IP protection is indicated using two numbers defined by the outer shell of a device. The first number represents protection against the penetration of solid bodies. The second number is protection against water or liquid ingress.Electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres generally provides protection ratings much higher than the industrial standard. Most of our products are classified IP65/IP66, or even IP67 and can therefore be used in the most difficult environments.
