OUR MASS ALERT SYSTEMS

ALERT SYSTEM FOR CITIES

A warning system in cities can help improve public safety, reduce risks and improve communication in the event of an emergency, by providing fast and accurate alerts to residents and local authorities.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS ALERT SYSTEM

Municipal warning systems, like national warning systems, are designed to warn of potential dangers such as floods, fires or other disasters. Their relationship is defined by local laws which may vary from country to country. In some countries, there is only a national alert system, while in others, only municipal alert systems exist.

THE SUITABLE SOLUTION

The municipal alert system is designed to allow the municipality to provide information about imminent dangers within seconds. Most of the time, the population is first informed of the type of danger, followed by specific instructions, which are often transmitted by mass media.

The alert system is managed from a command center equipped with Vektra® software. This software allows you to control and monitor sirens and communication channels, as well as provide effective support to ongoing procedures at the workstation in the event of an emergency situation. It can send warnings and automatic calls to relevant agents such as rescue teams, firefighters, etc., as well as provide information to corresponding agencies in accordance with crisis plans. In a few seconds, the system can activate a siren or a group of sirens (depending on access permissions), and in a few minutes it will confirm that the activation was successful. In large cities, sirens can be controlled from municipal dispatch centers.

The main command center allows you to command:

  • Sirens forming part of the municipal alert system
  • Private sirens of autonomous alert systems, governed by industrial subjects
  • evacuation broadcasting in the interiors of buildings (for example in shopping centers) or in the exteriors of public places (sports centers) and municipal broadcasting, if it exists .

Two communication lines are used for communication between the different elements of the system:

  • The two-way main line of the radio infrastructureon the reserved radio frequency. This involves issuing orders to the sirens, but also receiving feedback information from the sirens relating to their states
  • Reserve line (by example via communication via POCSAG, GPRS, or satellite systems).

Lth system municipal alert is formed by:

  • Main center, higher municipal alert and warning
  • Local, subordinatealert and warning centers neighborhoods (in larger cities)
  • Radiocommunication infrastructure (in the case of smaller cities radios modems prove sufficient),
  • PAVIAN electronic sirens
  • Interfaces for autonomous warning systems and loudspeakers.

MAIN COMMUNAL ALERT AND WARNING CENTER

The main municipal alert and warning center consists of a computer equipped with Vektra® software, a central communications unit to control the sirens by radio, as well as other equipment allowing backup, warning and communication within the system.

RADIO COMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURE

The reserved radio channel is used as the main communication channel, but satellite control or WiFi standard can also be used if necessary. The radio modems integrated into the sirens are sufficient as standard expansion modules for the reserved radio channel.

PAVIAN ELECTRONIC SIREN

Pavian electronic sirens are used as a terminal acoustic element and are designed to cover the city territory with an acoustic signal of sufficient power.

INTERFACES FOR AUTONOMOUS ALERT SYSTEMS

By interconnecting evacuation loudspeakers with national and municipal warning systems, the effectiveness of the alert can be considerably increased.

MUNICIPAL NEIGHBORHOOD ALERT CENTER

It is capable of providing the same functionality as the main alert and warning center, or it is equipped with only a local LCU15 control module which allows the activation of sirens in the neighborhood.
