Methyl acetate (C3H6O2), better known as "methyl acetate", is a substance widely used in organic synthesis as an extractant (separation of two agents). The cosmetics industry also uses methyl acetate for the manufacture of lacquers, nail polishes or the design of perfumes. Finally, it is found in the construction sector since it is used in the manufacture of glues, paints, thinners or strippers.
