Fire Station Alert System - Mission and Resource Management

OUR COMPLEX SOLUTIONS FOR FIRE STATIONS

MISSION AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Many fire stations are currently experiencing serious problems in terms of efficiency and fluidity in their interventions and procedures. Unlike in the past, today there is increasing pressure to record the various parameters related to the operation of the stations and use the acquired data to improve their operation.

If data is processed with Excel spreadsheets or similar inefficient methods, recording takes too long and the data is not available in time to enable rapid decision-making.

AN ANSWER TO YOUR NEED

Today's fire stations are looking for ways to automate and simplify their operations, particularly in the following areas:

  • Recording of incident and emergency data
  • Writing mission reports
  • Working hours management
  • Tracking and scheduling employee schedules
  • Planning of training and exercises, management of technical and material equipment of the barracks
  • Planning specific missions such as escorting vehicles at public events.

A2S has designed an innovative software solution to meet the above-mentioned requirements, named Vektra® Emergency and Rescue Management. This application includes 5 modules, such as Mission, Assistance, Human Resources and Working Hours, Material and Technical Equipment and Exercises. It allows to record all the stages of an event, from the emergency call to the end of the intervention, by recording information related to the intervention such as the firefighters mobilized, the equipment used and the automatic generation of the end of intervention report. In addition, it also facilitates the counting of the extinguishing means used.

SPEED AND SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN WORKLOAD DURING FIREFIGHTER OPERATIONS

As soon as an incident or emergency is reported via the 112 line, all the information is recorded in the mission form. Then, the Vektra® Emergency and Rescue Management application allows you to call the firefighters for the mission and assign the available vehicles to the intervention, in order to avoid using them for another intervention. The availability status of the vehicles is regularly updated in the application and can be modified even during the intervention, allowing the management center to have real-time information on the availability of the vehicles.

After the intervention, relevant data is entered into a dedicated form, such as the number of injured, resuscitated, dead, adults and children. The fuel level in the station and other products such as foaming agents, absorbents and extinguishing agents are automatically adjusted according to actual consumption. Information about the firefighters is also recorded, such as the duration of use of oxygen masks, the duration of work at height or with hazardous materials.

MINUTES OF THE MISSION

Once all the required information is entered, the application automatically generates a mission report, which is locked and sent to the relevant people for closing the mission.

Details of the fire brigade, technical equipment and material resources are recorded in detail in the following elements:

HUMAN RESOURCES

Personal information, certificates and record of training and exercises carried out

MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT

Gender, equipment, dimensions, fuel consumption, service inspections and accessibility

MAINTENANCE AND STOCKS

Technical means of fighting and protecting against fire and others.

It is possible to manage and process all data centrally. In addition, the solution allows the creation and planning of different types of teams, as well as the recording and tracking of working hours.
