TSUNAMI WARNING SYSTEM

THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS ALERT SYSTEM
Many islands and coastal areas are at enormous risk from strong earthquakes and tsunami waves which can lead to devastating disasters, causing loss of life and considerable damage. The danger is constant and a tsunami can occur at any time, anywhere. Following an earthquake, the coast can be hit in just a few minutes. Therefore, the use of a modern monitoring, alert and notification system is essential to save lives and limit material damage while having time to prepare.

A2S has designed a modern siren system called the Tsunami Early Warning System, which can cover large populated coastal areas. This system is connected to existing underwater earthquake, weather and sea level monitoring systems. It is also equipped with Vektra® software applications (SCADA, Warning and Notification) for the various system elements .
- Monitoring system which observes the seismic waves that propagate in the earth's crust when there is an underwater earthquake.
- System of alert equipped with sirens that warn coastal residents in the event of a tsunami.
- Notification system which informs the competent authorities of the emergency situation by voice message or SMS.

The control center equipped with Vektra® software applications, It collects, analyzes and evaluates data automatically activates warnings and notifications and guarantees high security
SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM
The monitoring system currently in place is made up of a set of sensors and a network of ocean buoys, which aim to identify any underwater seismic activity and the tsunamis that could result from it.
COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE
The communications infrastructure is responsible for transmitting information between the control center and the different elements of the alert, monitoring and notification system.
PAVIAN ELECTRONIC SIREN
Pavian electronic sirens are capable of covering large coastal areas with a warning signal while offering excellent voice reproduction quality. They emit a warning sound before the occurrence of an imminent disaster.
NOTIFICATION OF COMPETENT PERSONS
Qualified people as well as rescue teams are notified of an emergency situation both by telephone and SMS. In addition, they are called upon to go to work and intervention sites to participate in rescue operations.
