TSUNAMI ALERT SYSTEM
Establishing a tsunami warning system helps warn coastal populations of imminent danger. Tsunamis can be caused by underwater earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or underwater landslides.
THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS ALERT SYSTEM
Many islands and coastal areas are at enormous risk from severe earthquakes and tsunami waves that can cause devastating disasters, causing loss of life and extensive damage. The danger is constant and a tsunami can occur at any time, anywhere. Following an earthquake, the coast can be affected in just a few minutes. Therefore, the use of a modern monitoring, warning and notification system is essential to save lives and limit material damage by having time to prepare.
THE RIGHT SOLUTION
A2S has designed a modern siren system called the Tsunami Early Warning System, which can cover large populated coastal areas. This system is connected to existing underwater earthquake, weather and sea level monitoring systems. It is also equipped with Vektra® software applications (SCADA, Warning and Notification) for the different elements of the system.

CONTROL CENTER
The control center equipped with Vektra® software applications, It collects, analyzes and evaluates data, automatically activates warnings and notifications and guarantees high security
MONITORING SYSTEM
The monitoring system currently in place consists of a set of sensors and a network of ocean buoys, the aim of which is to detect any underwater seismic activity and the tsunamis that could result from it.
COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE
The communication infrastructure is responsible for transmitting information between the control center and the various elements of the alert, monitoring and notification system.
PAVIAN ELECTRONIC SIRENS
Pavian electronic sirens are capable of covering large coastal areas with a warning signal while providing excellent voice reproduction quality. They emit a warning sound signal before the occurrence of an imminent disaster.
NOTIFICATION OF COMPETENT PERSONS
Qualified personnel and rescue teams are notified of an emergency situation both by telephone and SMS. In addition, they are called to the work and intervention sites to participate in rescue operations.
