OUR ALERT SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRY
CHEMICAL PLANTS
Chemical plants can present risks to public health and the environment in the event of accidents such as leaks, explosions, fires... The consequences can be serious and costly for businesses or even workers. This is why an alert system that makes it possible to quickly detect and report any incident or potential accident is required.
HOW IMPORTANT IS THIS ALERT SYSTEM
Many chemical sites handle hazardous substances as part of their production. The transport, storage and processing of these substances can pose risks to human health and life. Although strict instructions are applied and great caution is exercised during these activities, global experiences have demonstrated that there is a significant risk of leakage of these substances and environmental pollution.
Usually there are at least two levels of risk concentration to differentiate
High: This is a concentration of the hazardous substance that falls within a range of values higher than standard standards, but which does not yet represent a threat to human health.
Damage: Theconcentration of the dangerous substance is in a range of values which has exceeded the acceptable levels according to the corresponding standards, which presents a threat to human health.
THE SUITABLE SOLUTION
The immediate alert system is a complex solution that integrates monitoring and warnings. Firstly, concentrations of hazardous substances are monitored in real time using sensors independent of the technical control systems of chemical production, which are connected to the Amadeo plant for increased safety.
Two concentration thresholds are established to measure the concentration of the hazardous substance. If the measured concentration is within the upper threshold range, operators are immediately alerted. In the case of workstations without control, the responsible personnel are alerted urgently. The latter can then verify the reasons for the increase in concentration and take the necessary security measures without having to declare an extraordinary situation.
THIS SOLUTION SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED WHEN:
- Il est indispensable de dissocier le système de surveillance et le système d'alerte, car ils sont configurés avec des paramètres de concentration de substances dangereuses différents.
- Le système de suivi du service n´existe pas.
- Un automatisme maximum de l´activité ou un centre d´alerte et d´avertissement sans commande est sollicité.
- Lorsqu'on recherche une réponse distincte du système pour chaque niveau de concentration de risque des substances dangereuses.
