Create a PPI alert plan

Creating a Specific Intervention Plan requires asking preliminary questions at the regulatory and technical level in relation to your site, your budget, your equipment:

  1. Who is responsible for setting up a PPI?
  2. What is the scope to be covered for the alert?
  3. How to trigger the PPI alert?
  4. What types of sounds?
  5. How to ensure a 24/7 operational system?
  6. How to set up a scalable, extensible and modular system?

The prefect is responsible for the PPI: this is the operational response of the authorities (specific ORSEC plan) when the disaster exceeds the limits of the site. The PPI siren alerts of the populations are the responsibility of the operator, under the authority of the prefect. The PPI alerts must ensure the protection of employees, local residents and the environment of the PPI perimeter. When triggered, the national alert signal must be audible at any point in the PPI perimeter. The PPI alert system must be operational 24 hours a day regardless of the events (power cuts, damaged telephone networks, component failures, etc.), and supervised in real time.
