Development in Africa: first success in Angola for A2S Blog

A2S now referenced at Total Angola, has won its first contract in Angola on instrumentation equipments for offshore platform “Girassol” of the oil group. Besides the quality of its products and business responsiveness, the latter particularly appreciated the willingness of A2S to develop a local presence. This commitment is reflected in two ways. On the one hand for the maintenance of its electrical safety equipment, A2S is now working with an installer in Luanda, the company ISEG. This local company has an annual maintenance contract of “fire safety” for TOTAL towers Luanda. On the other hand, A2S now has a local representative in Luanda, company INDUSCOM, an Angolan importer that strongly develops its activity in the mining and oil & gas sectors. INDUSCOM be supported by a dedicated sales manager A2S the Angolan market in the next months.

Angola, the second largest oil producer in Africa, where growth was 10% on average over the last decade has indeed very important oilfields, mainly offshore. Also since 2013, the country began exporting liquefied natural gas. If oil is the economic powerhouse of Angola, the government now wants to invest in infrastructure of all kinds where the needs are enormous. Many development opportunities that A2S intends to seize, hence the need for meaningful and lasting local presence.

In this context, A2S was present at international trade “fair FILDA – Feira Internacional de Luanda”, which was held last July in Luanda, capital of Angola. Many visitors have marked their interests in the products and services of A2S. Besides those in the oil and gas sector, agribusiness professionals have also been very interested. Indeed, several construction projects of factories are under consideration. This could lead to A2S on new opportunities, particularly for the provision of explosion-proof products.
