A2S launches a new product line

Developed jointly by A2S and Fonteck, this product family* is intended for applications in explosive atmospheres (oil and gas facilities, chemicals, petrochemicals, refineries, etc.) and more specifically for zones 1 and 2 and gas groups IIB and IIC. These products, combined with engines, compressors, lighting and signalling, such as a heliport on an offshore platform or air treatment, are crucial elements in devices designed to ensure the safety of people and industrial installations.

All these new products, made of stainless steel, have received ATEX/IECEX certifications and offer a very high level of protection. A2S has ruled out aluminum, a material that is light but too sensitive to corrosion and has developed its own models with innovative sealing and sealing systems.

In addition to the intrinsic quality of its materials, A2S aims to offer complete anti-flagrant solutions while adapting to specific customer demands. The A2S approach is carried out by the processes of interaction between the different elements of a system. Compressors, heaters, etc. are always connected to a control device but the operating environment can vary greatly. That is why we propose custom control enclosures, whether in terms of size, control device or observation window. This is where our added value lies, explains Nicolas Sevestre, manager of A2S.

The company can, for example, provide display windows of instruments such as pressure indicators, temperatures...to the size of these indicators and square, round or rectangle shape depending on the material used by the customer.

These customizable boxes cover three complementary functions: control (visualization), control (actuators, switches, emergency shutdown buttons, etc.), signalling (light visions).

In addition A2S has chosen to manufacture "large" control boxes (900×600 mm) which allows to optimize costs (less enclosures to buy) and facilitate connections (more capacity per enclosure). We have obtained the ATEX/IECEX certifications required for this type of box that we can thus decline in various sizes, from the smallest to the largest, explains Nicolas Sevestre. The marketing of these new products has already started and provides a concrete response to market needs, particularly in terms of tailor-made configurations.
