Ex-Mo is a microwave motion sensor using the original Doppler principle, designed and certified to operate in hazardous environments. Ex-Mo offers ATEX and IECEX, IP66 Zone 1 and Zone 21 certification for gas and dust areas. Ex-Mo helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption due to lighting and other switching devices. Ex-Mo can be used to control site lighting so that the lighting is only turned on when people are present and turned off when it doesn’t, saving you electricity by reducing your energy bills and carbon footprint.

Ex-Mo Info – What it might be useful to know!
- Coverage – The Ex-Mo unit offers coverage of about 72 degrees horizontally and about 36 degrees vertically. In practice, the Ex-Mo unit will detect 90 degrees so that a single unit placed in the corner of a rectangular room provides complete coverage along the walls
- The high-frequency Doppler radar works best when the target approaches or away from it and can be detected at an average distance of about 20 metres. The detection beam is focused in front and is directional.
